A. Watertight Weather Rebate Edge
A weather rebate is a recessed 50mm wide by 30mm–40mm deep step formed into the perimeter of the wet slab. When your steel shed wall cladding is fixed, the lower metal sheets extend down past the interior floor line into this rebate. This prevents rainwater from seeping under the wall sheets during Gold Coast summer thunderstorms, keeping your tools and equipment bone dry.
B. Hold-Down Bolt Placement (Uplift Resistance)
Gold Coast experiences high wind velocity zones (Region B classification). Shed portal frames require massive uplift resistance.
